Objective

Institution of Annual Quiz competition in the KEEA Municipality

Goal

To encourage children in the municipality to take their academic work seriously and be determined to pursue higher education.

Rationale

A careful observation of the activities of the children in the Abrem Traditional Area and KEEA at large revealed that pupils in the schools do not take their academic work seriously. They rather watch films, go hunting for animals, play games on phones at games centres, dance at funerals till late in the night at the expense of their studies.

However, there are no plans in place to entice these pupils to take their studies seriously. This annual event when instituted and put in place enviable rewards such as Text Books, Exercise books, Pens, Supplementary readers and   financial assistance which will encourage them to excel. There are plans to showcase the best school and pupil on a bill board and annual calendars of the company, NYAKOD PRINTING and PUBLISHING company Ltd.

Strategy

All schools in Abrem and two schools in the Eguafo have been selected for the maiden programme.
